In both 2015 & 2016 we spent over $20,000 (over $40,000 total) on vet bills alone!
That's not including food and shelter for over 350 cats and dogs. We also provide emergency vet care to stray animals. Sometimes we even provide emergency vet care when owners cannot be there for their beloved pets (car accidents, etc).
We do not offer financial assistance to companion animals but we do offer owner surrender for those willing.
Part of our long-term goals as an established 501(c)3 is to build our own kennels. But for now we make the best of what we have at our disposal. We would also like to purchase a vehicle specifically set up for transporting animals safely.
We are always willing to show you our bank statements and vet bills. The majority of our donations go directly into our vet accounts but sometimes we have to use donations to purchase supplies, especially food and housing supplies (houses, kennels, straw, cedar chips, bedding, etc).
Occasionally we try to purchase or ask for donations for gas cards to help our transporters when they take animals to other rescues for us. We will always accept gift cards to offer our transport or foster volunteers, to thank them for their time and efforts. Other gift cards to restaurants are accepted to as a way for us to thank our volunteers.
We have a lot of resourceful volunteers and try to allocate our donations for maximum benefit. At this time we do not have any paid volunteers.
NO AMOUNT IS ever TOO SMALL
